Legal & Ethical Considerations
At The 911 Institute, we believe that hands-on experience with real-world tools is essential for preparing future emergency dispatchers.
That’s why we’ve partnered with leading providers of Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems, NG911 telephone technology, and public safety radio communications to give our students direct access to the same equipment used in real Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs).
Through these partnerships, students will:
Train on Industry-Standard CAD Software Learn how to navigate, input, and manage emergency calls using professional-grade dispatching systems.
Use NG911 Telephone Equipment Gain hands-on experience with Next Generation 9-1-1 call handling, including text-to-911 and real-time location mapping.
Practice with Public Safety Radio Systems Develop critical skills in radio communication by working with actual dispatch consoles and protocols used in law enforcement, fire, and EMS operations.
